LAND & RESOURCES

Guided by the traditional values of the Tobacco Plains Indian Band, as well as the knowledge and insight of our members, the Lands and Resources Department will always make decisions and act in a manner which honours our culture and history, and ensures the land remains for the use, enjoyment, and betterment of current and future generations.

We are stewards of the lands and resources of the Tobacco Plains Indian Band, and will actively engage with and lead government and industry to ensure respect for our rights to the use of our land.

We will initiate and support only those projects which bring sustainable benefit to the Band and its members, and which have as their goal the creation and of a sustainable strong and healthy environment and community.
